At some point, Malik bin Dinar (rahimaullah) was going by a place when he saw a young fellow wearing old garments and crying by the roadside. His name was Uthbah. Sweat was trickling down his body despite the fact that the temperature was extremely cold around then. Malik bin Dinar turned out to be exceptionally shocked at this scene and asked Uthbah, "Goodness young fellow, for what reason would you say you are crying? Also, for what reason would you say you are perspiring amid this cool temperature?"
Uthbah answered, "Once, I submitted a wrongdoing at this place. Today, as I was going by this place, I recalled that transgression."
